Job Title *: Detached & Outreach Youth Support Workers
Summary of role: We are seeking 2 confident and flexible youth support workers to join our team in a detached and outreach capacity. This would be for 2.5hours per week, but can be flexible depending on the staff availability - this could be 4-6.30pm or 7-9.30pm or could be a weekend morning or afternoon, the role is as flexible as the workers can be! This role would involve meeting young people where theyre at - on their way home from school, at the skate park, hanging out on the Filton streets, in the park, hanging out near shops, etc and building good relationships with them, encouraging them into positive activities, signposting to other services, starting up new projects with them, engaging them in local community events, and also encouraging them to come along to FACE. You would have a FACE ID and jacket to identify yourself and carry a bag of handy things (e.g. torch, phone, first aid kit, leaflets, football, and of course the popular flasks of hot chocolate and biscuits!) You would have a DBS disclosure, reference checks and induction training prior to starting. Ideally you would have a first aid certificate already, but if not we can arrange for you to undertake this.

Annual salary/pro rata salary *: £9.58 p.h. (unqualified) or £10.77 p.h. (Level 3 youth work qualified)
