Job Title: Welfare Benefits Advisor (fixed term)

Summary of role: Age UK South Gloucestershire are looking for an experienced Welfare Benefits Advisor to join our successful team. The post holder will provide advice and support on welfare benefits predominantly to people over or nearing retirement age within their own homes or at surgeries and events throughout South Gloucestershire. A working knowledge of welfare benefits is essential as the role will require an immediate start on advice provision. The role will also involve the giving of other information and advice where appropriate.  

Job tenure: 13 hours per week.  1 year fixed contract - however this may be extended if circumstances allow

Annual salary/pro rata salary: £22,401 pro-rata (£7,765 actual) plus up to 7% Pension
