A local health and social care charity would really like to build a log cabin/outdoor space, which they can set up as a café and use as a safe social space so family members can visit their loved ones. The home has the space and the money available, but not the time to make it happen. The volunteer would effectively manage the project – e.g. work out what needs to be purchased, scour the internet for options, source fixture and fittings, price it all up etc and they would liaise with the home Manager throughout the project. They would cover mileage costs, but the role would not require many visits as the majority of the project can be done remotely. Experience would be useful, but if you have managed a similar project in your own home before, you should be able to manage this as well.
