Voice of the Over 50s Voice of the Over 50s. The South Gloucestershire Over 50’s Forum has been creating a survey to discover what people, resident in South Glos that are of working age ( 50 – 70 yrs,) see has their issues and asking how they would like their voice to be represented. The Forum would like to hear from 50-70 years olds about what matters to them and how they would like to hear more about local campaigns and information. The survey will take 5-10 minutes to complete. Survey closes 31 July. The survey created with the help of SEIP funding. Undertaken by CVS South Gloucestershire has paid for the support to enable us to create it. When 82% of our membership is over 80 we need to ensure we better represent those who are younger for our sustainability and to ensure we are inclusive. We appreciate that people of working age are not old but they are a separate generation to the older members who are over 80. The survey can be completed online or paper copies can be obtained by contacting the Forum on 07967 102141 and it is in some Libraries. The Over 50’s Forum represents the voice, profile, needs and interests of people over 50 to statutory agencies locally and nationally. It campaigns for inclusion, justice, respect and recognition in relation to the issues that affect people over 50. The Forum provides regular opportunities for people to share their concerns and issues as well as receive information that can give a better understanding of a particular topic.
