Summary of role: Short Breaks Support Worker

Job Details: Duties: We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, dedicated and reliable Short Break Workers who will support disabled children and young people in their homes and local communities. Our Inclusion service allows disabled children to participate in activities that they are interested in within their local community, such as going to parks, soft play, swimming, bowling cinema etc. We also provide assistance within a family home delivering interactive play opportunities and personal care as required.

Some training is provided. Skills: Any experience working with children or disabled people. Enjoy working with disabled children/young people in the home or out in the community. Having full driving license and access to a car is an advantage but may not be essential if applicants possess the right skill set. Hours: Flexible to suit you but Workers spend between 3-6 hours per session with a child, working mainly early evenings, weekends and school holidays in South Gloucestershire. We require a minimum commitment of 3 hours per week. This can be in conjunction with other employment or full time study.

Job tenure *: Part time

Annual salary/pro rata salary *: £9.10 per hour (which includes 12.07% holiday pay)
