Christianity is the majority faith in South Gloucestershire with 59.6% of the population identifying themselves as Christian in the 2011 Census.

This also reported that there were 1,618 Hindus and 2,176 Muslims (0.6 and 0.8%).

30.7% of the population stated that they do not have a religion (80,607)

With the exception of an informal mosque using a community venue there are no non-Christian places of worship in the district.

People of other faiths find places to worship in Bristol.

South Gloucestershire Faith Forum closed in early 2016.
