Older People’s

This grant programme is open for applications all year.

Maximum grant awarded: The maximum amount awarded from the Older People’s Grants Programme is £5,000, with the average grant size being £2,500.

What can you apply for?
The programme awards grants to older people’s groups addressing issues around health and wellbeing.

Who can apply?
We welcome applications to the Older People’s Grants Programme from small, local voluntary and community organisations where a small amount of money can make a significant difference. We would like to encourage applications from groups that are making a positive difference to older people’s lives.

Applicant groups must be based and working in Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire.

There are no limits to the size of organisation which may apply for an Older People’s Grant. However, if an applicant organisation has more than 8 months of its annual expenditure in unrestricted reserves then its application will be considered a lower priority for funding. If your organisation is holding significant financial reserves you will need to make it clear why these reserves cannot be used to cover the cost of the activity.
