Kinergy is launching a new coffee morning support group on Wednesday 17th Jan for Survivors of sexual abuse or violence and their families/friends. A huge thank you to Sue Mountstevens who is attending to officially opening and support this new support group.

What is it and who is it for : The support group is a drop in meeting for survivors, friends & family members of those who have been affected by sexual abuse and sexual violence. Tea / coffee along with some cake in a relaxed environment to meet with others that have experienced similar feelings.

A chance to step away from isolation and meet with others in the community. There isn’t pressure to talk about abuse and individuals have feedback has been, “there is a sense of knowing between individuals who have experienced abuse, which helps with meeting new people.”

A partner of someone who had been sexually abused “there is little or no support for partners, I am lost in knowing how to support my partner. I am so glad to hear this group is starting.”
