Music for Older People

Concertina makes grants to charitable bodies which provide musical entertainment and related activities for the elderly. The charity is keen to support smaller organisations which might otherwise find it difficult to gain funding. Concertina makes grants to a wide range of charitable organisations. These include funds to many care homes to provide musical entertainment for their residents. Recent grants include:

  • The Theatre Chipping Norton to fund high calibre music recitals in six care homes in the area.
  • Golden Oldies in Bath who received funding for the provision of leaders for singing sessions for the elderly, culminating in a concert bringing all the groups together in one celebratory concert annually. The pilot project has now grown and there are “Golden Oldies” in many more areas of England.

Charitable bodies can apply for grants of upto £250

Application deadline: 30 April and 31 October in any year.
