Learning Disability Peer Advocate

Do you want to help people to speak up and be heard?
Do you live in South Gloucestershire and have a learning disability?

WECIL has a new Peer Advocacy Volunteer Project. They will train people with learning disabilities to help other people to speak up about things that matter to them, to try and make a difference.

This could be about things like getting a job, looking after your health, friendships and relationships, finding a place to live, education and training.

Are you:

  • 17 or older
  • Living in south Gloucestershire
  • Able to listen to others
  • Able to be non-judgemental with other people
  • Free to volunteer for about 10 hours a month

To find out more, contact Rhianon.gale@wecil.co.uk or phone 0117 947 9911 and ask to speak with Rhianon
