WECIL (The West of England Centre for Inclusive Living) are looking for a Volunteer Internet Buddy. Are you enthusiastic about anything to do with computers? Do you like sharing your skills and knowledge? If so, we need you for our Work Club to assist disabled and older people to gain confidence to use the internet to search for jobs online and to learn more about using email and researching things on the web.

The Work Club is open Monday to Thursday between 11am and 2pm. We will provide training and support for this role and travel and lunch expenses are reimbursed.

Role Description

  • Build clients confidence around computers and show them the benefits of getting online.  
  • Explain things simply and clearly on a one to one basis.
  • Help to provide a welcoming atmosphere in the Work Club for new and existing clients.
  • Provide support to people searching for and applying for jobs online.
  • Maintain up to date records.
