Housing for vulnerable women

Big Society Capital (BSC) is exploring the potential to establish an investment fund focused on housing for vulnerable women and would like to hear from voluntary organisations working in this area via survey. The fund would invest in dispersed accommodation, largely for women moving on from higher-support environments such as refuges, and be repaid through housing benefits. It aims to work with support providers, either by lending to them or leasing properties to them, and help to bridge barriers that might ordinarily prevent them from taking on social investment. BSC is happy to discuss this in more detail with interested Clinks members – they have appointed Social Finance UK to assist in this process, and can be contacted at[email protected] and [email protected]Take the survey here
