The South Gloucestershire Equalities Forum has compiled census information from the 2011 census about equalities groups in South Gloucestershire and about the makeup of population of South Gloucestershire.

South Gloucestershire is broadly reflective of the UK population as a whole except with regard to the Black and Minority Ethnic community. This is at 5% is significantly below the national average of 14%.
