The Chair’s community awards were established in 2003 to recognise and celebrate the valuable contribution local unpaid volunteers make to life in South Gloucestershire and have since become an annual event.

Would you like to thank a volunteer who has gone the extra mile? Or an unsung hero? Nominations are now open.

The current Chair of the Council, Ian Blair, is asking you to nominate your local ‘community heroes’ – people who have made a difference to your community.

If you would you like to thank an individual volunteer from your organisation or a group of volunteers that provide a service and meet a need for people living in the local community, then nominations are open now. Nominations for the Chair’s Award close 05 January 2018 and can be made via the link to our webpage.
