NHS England & NHS Improvement and The National Lottery Community Fund are jointly funding a support offer for health, care and VCSE leaders, designed to equip them to build relationships that will transform our healthcare system. The NHS Long Term Plan commits us to working in a new way – from a focus on prevention and reducing health inequalities to earlier diagnosis of cancer and respiratory conditions. Building relationships – with other health agencies, local government, providers and communities – will be essential for the leaders charged with bringing this ambition to life.
Working with Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector partners including the Institute of Voluntary Action Research (IVAR), The Kings Fund and Social Enterprise UK (SEUK), we have developed a menu of support to inspire and equip health, care and voluntary sector leaders to work in partnership at STP/ICS level to achieve systems change. It draws learning from Building Health Partnerships and supports the creation of transformational partnerships between STP’s/ICS’s (Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships/Integrated Care Systems), patients and the VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) sector. These partnerships can help to improve the health and care of communities and also support the delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan.
We can offer a range of free support to help you develop more impactful relationships. This includes:
- Online resources
- Coaching delivered by The King’s Fund
- Peer support through a Practice Development Network
- Bespoke support
This is available to STP/ICS leads, commissioners, clinicians and professionals from the VCSE sector.
