Bristol Autism Project Team Leader

Summary of role:

We are looking for 2 Team Leaders, each working 14 hours p/week, to work together to coordinate and deliver the Bristol Autism Project holiday-time activity scheme for children 5-18 with autism, and their families.

We are looking for people with experience of working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and/or Social, Communication, and Interaction Needs (SCI).

Bristol Autism Project provides activities during each Bristol Council holiday time (excluding Bank Holidays) for children aged 5-18 with ASC and SCI along with their siblings and parent/carer. This gives the family access to a range of activities locally in order to improve family life and widen social interactions during the school holidays.

This role will include managing and monitoring enrolments and bookings for over 200 families across Bristol, supervising a small team of sessional staff, organising a programme of fun, safe, and accessible activities for children with ASC and SCI and their families, liaising with our Admin assistant and the Council Autism Team.

This will also include being responsive to family needs and signposting / making referrals to others where applicable.

(This post is fixed currently until March 2020, with the desire to extend, but reliant upon future funding being awarded through the council tendering process opening later this year)

Job tenure:  Part time

Annual salary/pro rata salary:  £11.42 per hour
