Autism Training in South Glos is provided by the National Autistic Society and co-ordinated by South Glos Council on behalf of the local Autism Planning Group (APG).

The half day and one day courses include:

  • Level 1 Awareness Training: Understanding Autistic Spectrum Conditions
    16 Nov 2017 & 16 March 2018 (half day)
  • Level 2 Courses – delegates should have attended a Level 1 course first
  • Two versions of this one day course:
    Supporting Adults with Autism (Level 2): Provider agencies - 5 Dec 2017
    For Staff working with adults with autism on a frequent/daily basis
  • Staff Undertaking Assessments of adults with autism – 19 Jan 2018

  • Understanding Behaviour (full day) - 19 Oct 2017 (fully booked)
  • Relationships, Boundaries & Sexuality (full day) – TBA
    Autism and Ageing (Level 2) – 13 Nov 2017 (half day)

  • E-Learning: ‘Understanding Autism’- introductory level

Fees for the training

There is a fee for non South Gloucestershire Council staff, and this fee is very low in most cases and there are a number of significant discounts for many sectors/agencies.
