South Gloucestershire: ACE-informed practice

22nd November 9:30-1pm

The Vassals Centre, Downend

Please join us for  South Gloucestershire’s first Adverse Childhood Experiences Event

Presenters will offer:

·         Brief overview of up-to-date research on ACEs

·         Update on our response locally so far.

·         Practitioners and a former service-user will discuss the real world challenges faced

·         Discuss what ACE-informed service delivery looks like in practice.

There is growing recognition that preventing and responding to ACEs can have real impact on children, adults and families, now and in the future.  This is more than just making people aware of ACEs, it is about evolving to take a coordinated ‘ACE informed’ approach.

The aim of this event is to bring people together from across a range of settings (Social care, Education, Health, Criminal Justice) to build on partnerships that translate theory into best practice. Our aspiration is that delegates will be actively involved in developing and implementing an ACE-informed approach for South Gloucestershire, and that everyone will leave inspired to become part of an emerging ACE Champion network.

If you wish to attend, please register using this link:  Lunch will be provided.
