The 2016 Annual Report of the Director of Public Health for South Gloucestershire has been published today and is available to view or download from our eDocs site:

This year the report looks in more detail at the contributors to health and wellbeing and specifically inequalities in health in South Gloucestershire, applying what we know from international and national research to our own local health indicators. This is particularly important in South Gloucestershire as the population figures are generally good and it is easy to miss parts of the population who do significantly worse in terms of health outcomes.

The report is supplemented by an interactive web tool which illustrates patterns in the geographic distribution of health determinants and impacts by ward. The tool is hosted on the InstantAtlas platform which is accessible from the link above.

The report will be discussed at the next meeting of the South Gloucestershire Partnership on 18 October 2106 2 p.m. at the Bristol and Bath Science Park.
