Funding databases

There are thousands of charitable trusts and foundations operating across the UK. Information about these sources is available on a several on-line databases which you can search for yourself and  where you can select the funding schemes that may be right for you:

a. Funding Central - a free Government-funded website for the whole voluntary and community sector, including social enterprises. It provides access to the full spectrum of funding and finance opportunities. It also includes a wealth of tools and resources to support organisations in developing sustainable income strategies. To register visit www.fundingcentral.org.uk   

b. GRANTnet is available free of charge via South Gloucestershire Council. Members of the public can access this database via the Business and Community pages of the South Gloucestershire Council website: www.southglos.gov.uk/NR/exeres/ec16bdd4-97a9-41ac-abf7-f7a70328504b

GRANTfinder is the ‘parent’ national funding search engine for GRANTnet. This offers a more detailed search facility and is available for a fee at www.grantfinder.co.uk. c. Charities Information Bureau South & West maintains its own searchable funding database. This is free to organisations in the south-west region via www.cibsouthandwest.org.uk/register.php. To register on the site click LOGIN then follow the link for new users. CIB South & West also has some useful resources on its website, plus a bi-monthly bulletin with information on new grants.
