Equality Act 2010

The Equality Act 2010 provides a new legislative framework to protect the rights of individuals and advance equality of opportunity for all. It replaces existing anti-discrimination laws with a single act.

Voluntary organisations, when they are providers of goods, facilities or services have the same responsibilities under the Equalities Act as any other organisation.

The links below provide a clear introduction to the Equality Act, further information and guidance on its implementation for voluntary and community organisations.
